On Monday 11th August I went to the Natural History Museum in London to pick up an award for the Cool Kids website and project. Young Environment Champion of the Year Awards are sponsored by Severn Trent Water, the Wildlife Trusts and BBC Wildlife Magazine. |
I had gone along to pick up the North East regional award, but I was also presented with the national award and given the joint title Young Environmental Champion of the Year 2003 with Simon Frogley from Hampshire.
Simon is doing a study on glowworms and has a website about them (http://members.fortunecity.com/glowworm1). He is also a member of Wildlife Watch and his group - Andover and Bourne Valley Wildlife Watch won the group award.
